Sumananjali Mohanty is a fractional Chief Impact Officer. Working at the intersection of power, equity, and impact, Suman helps organizations align purpose with operating models — shifting decision-making closer to the communities they serve.

• As Country Director in Ethiopia, grew funding portfolio from $14M to $35M in two years and led reinstatement of operations after a government suspension.

• As Country Director in Kenya, developed a nationally recognized country strategy that secured $25M in multi-donor funding and pioneered mobile cash transfer systems that influenced Kenya's national social protection strategy.

• Spearheaded the establishment of the ASAL Humanitarian Network — a coalition of 30 local organizations — ensuring 75–80% of resources were directed to local actors.
  

Suman's work has been recognized by the President of Kenya, and her research on cash transfers, urban food security, and gender equality has been published in Field Exchange, Gender and Development, and ALNAP.
